Adoption is an Uncertain Process

Adoption is an Uncertain Process

If you are thinking about adopting a child, I highly recommend meeting with Geri Glazer and Jeanne Reisig at Adoptions By Heart.  I worked closely with Geri Glazer when I adopted my two boys.  Adoption is an uncertain process.  No agency can guarantee that you will get the result that you are looking for.  Geri did an excellent job of explaining the true risks involved in the Colorado adoption process so that my husband and I could decide if adoption was the best route for us to fulfill our dream of becoming parents.  She responded to our questions and concerns, and even brought up issues we had not considered.  She did not try to “sell” us on the idea of adoption, nor did she try to pressure the birth parents into placing their children for adoption.

She did not try to force us into working with a particular birth mother.  She let our relationships with our children’s birth parents develop naturally.  As issues came up, she was very responsive.  Although she has worked with hundreds of adoptive parents and birth parents, she took the time to learn about us, listen to us, and guide us through our unique situations.  Although both of my children’s adoptions were finalized years ago, she still likes to hear from us and see pictures of the boys and hear stories about them.  If you are looking for a competent and caring adoption professional, look no further.
